Ruslan Rotan, head coach of Oleksandriya and the youth national team of Ukraine, commented on his appointment as acting head coach of the national team of Ukraine.
Ruslan Rotan"The UAF Executive Committee has appointed me acting head coach of the national team of Ukraine. This is a great honor for me, and at the same time a great responsibility. At the same time, I remain the head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine, with which we are now preparing for an extremely important event - the European Championship.
My coaching staff will include my assistant Serhii Kravchenko, physical training coaches Yevhen Baryshnikov and Ivan Bashtovyi, goalkeeper Vitalii Reva, analytics coaches Yevhen Gres and Volodymyr Lazarenko will be in charge of analytics.
Also, I would like to note that I will be in touch with the future head coach Serhii Rebrov before the announcement of the list of those called up, during the training camp, and before the match with England. My task is to help the National Team and I am ready to make every effort to do so. That is why I accepted the offer to become acting head coach. I would also like to thank the president and management of FC Oleksandriya for their understanding of the situation, trust and support.
