Legendary Ukrainian footballer and coach Andriy Shevchenko did not answer a question about whether he would replace Andriy Pavelko at the UAF, Spanish Marca reported.
"Although Shevchenko has fully supported his country and troops since the war began last year, Shevchenko is considered a friendlier face in Moscow than Pavelko, thanks to his acquaintance with Abramovich. We contacted the former player and Golden Ball winner about his possible plans to replace Pavelko as president of the Ukrainian Football Association, but he did not respond," the newspaper wrote in a piece about the scandals in Kiev's Laboratorny Lane.
