The Union of European Football Associations continues to closely monitor the financial affairs of clubs. UEFA has fined 11 clubs from different European countries for "overdue debts," AP News reports.

The most serious penalty is facing Romanian Cluj and Olympia Ljubljana (Slovenia) - the clubs may be disqualified from participating in European competitions for a season until 2027. They received probationary periods of one or two years with financial goals to be achieved. In addition, Cluj received a fine of 250 thousand euros, and Olympia - 100 thousand.

Croatian clubs Osijek and Rijeka were also punished. The clubs have overdue debts from last season, so they were deprived of prize money for participating in the Conference League in this year's campaign. Other fines ranged from 150 thousand euros to 10,000 euros. Aris (Greece), Astana (Kazakhstan), Borac Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Floriana (Malta), Konyaspor (Turkey), Kyzyl-Zhar (Kazakhstan) and Valmiera (Latvia) have to pay such fines.
