Shakhtar Donetsk attempted to change the venue of their away match against Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in the 17th round of the Ukrainian Championship, which will take place next Sunday, March 12.
This match is scheduled to take place in Kryvyi Rih at the Gornyak stadium, however, as the well-known Ukrainian TV commentator Igor Tsyganyk reported, Shakhtar turned to Kryvbas with a request to play the match in Lviv.
Apparently, the Pitmen's request was due to their desire to simplify the logistics of moving after the first match of the 1/8 finals of the Europa League with the Dutch Feyenoord, which will be held next Thursday, March 9, in Warsaw.
Be that as it may, Kryvbas refused Shakhtar's request. Just like it was with a similar request from Dnipro-1 in the first round of the current Ukrainian championship, when Dnipro also played in European cups.
