Ingulets midfielder Vladyslav Klymenko commented on his team's sensational 2-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the 16th round of the Ukrainian championship, which took place last Saturday in the capital.
- What helped Ingulets win in the capital?
- I won't be original in my answer - quality, good preparation. We talked about this Dynamo during the entire training camp, and discussed the upcoming match for a month. Serhii Kovalets (Ingulets head coach - ed.) analyzed everything for us: who receives the ball in which position, who starts the attack, who kicks with which foot... So we analyzed all this and tried to play in such a way as to get the desired result. We had our own idea, we wanted to win - I'm glad we managed to achieve it.
- Was the decision to take the ball out of your half of the field for a move by Sital a spontaneous one or a long-range calculation? It was, in fact, the first goal that started the game.
- The fact is that Sitalo is a tenacious and unyielding footballer. He is always fighting up front. It happens that he takes the ball out for a loss. With Artem, we know that we are striking forward with an address, not at random. That's why I'm not surprised that he played so well against Dyachuk and sensibly connected Kozak. Sitalo is one of those players who value the ball and fight to the last. We often play him like that.
- During the second effective combination, you, the central midfielder, suddenly moved to Odariuk's area and cut a cross to him from the right flank. Is the fact that you and Zaporizhzhia often "fall" to the flanks also a long-played chip of Ingulets?
- Somehow it happened so long ago that our midfield developed a good understanding. I combine well with all our guys. If I see an opportunity to move through the flank and pass, I think my teammates understand this and calmly act wider. At that moment, it was important for us to stretch Dynamo's defense and take advantage of the fast attack. I am glad that my teammates understand everything clearly and correctly. This harmony is also our trump card.
- After the match, your opponents beat up the referee Kateryna Monzul - both Lucescu and Vanat spoke about this, adding that women do not referee top matches in the world. You probably have your own opinion on the refereeing of the Dynamo vs Ingulets match?
- This is football. There were controversial moments, by the way, in both directions. However, I don't see what there is to talk about if VAR was working at the game. The moments were reviewed, the referees probably saw the ball hit Kukharuk's hand. They have all the modern recommendations, there is a natural hand position and an unnatural one. The referees made the decision - the match is over, the result is on the scoreboard.
