Qatar has officially announced plans to buy the English club Manchester United through the Nine Two fund, RMC Sport portal reports.
It is reported that the Nine Two fund, led by Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, is ready to buy Manchester United for a little more than 5 billion euros. The Qataris are ready to buy out all the club's assets, including the 580 million euros in debt.
It is also known that the American owners of Manchester United, the Glazer family, have also received an offer from Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos company, but the Qataris are leading the fight.
It is expected that in the coming weeks the Qataris will hold a meeting in Manchester to explore all the details of a possible deal.
