If Chelsea fails to qualify for the Champions League next season, a significant number of players will have their salaries cut, The Telegraph reports.
It is reported that Chelsea's new owner Todd Boley has decided to change the system of concluding agreements with players. According to the new rules, players' bonuses have increased, but the guaranteed part of the salary has become lower.
As a result, the salaries of those players who joined Chelsea in the last two transfer windows may be reduced by 25% if the London club does not win a ticket to the Champions League at the end of this season.
Interestingly, these changes will not affect the players who signed agreements before the new owner arrived.
