"Dynamo Tbilisi made a statement about the Georgian parliament's adoption of the first reading of the bill "On Transparency of Foreign Influence" and the protests in the country following it.
"Dynamo Tbilisi as one of the main carriers of Georgia's identity is and will be one of the main driving forces of self-expression of the Georgian people. Our club, a big Dynamo family, supports the European path of Georgia. We see this initiative [to pass the bill on foreign agents] as a threat to our path.
Our soccer, like our country, needs to develop and a large part of the Georgian population has repeatedly noted that they see the possibility of this development only in the European family. The European Union should be one of the main goals of our country, and the legitimacy of this path is not subject to revision," the statement reads.
