"Bayern Munich will not extend the loan of right-back Joao Cancelo for the next season, Diario Sport reports.

The management of the Munich club informed Manchester City, which owns the rights to the 28-year-old footballer, of its decision. The Portuguese came to the Bundesliga to have regular playing practice, but Joao is not a member of the starting lineup in Julian Nagelsmann's team.

Manchester City coach Josep Guardiola does not see Cancelo in his team, so the Citizens will have to look for a new club for the defender. The situation around Joao is being monitored by Barcelona, who were interested in the player back in the winter.
