As Football Hub has learned, following the suspension of Andriy Pavelko from the post of UAF president, the Pechersk District Court has ruled to remove Yuriy Zapisotskyi from the post of secretary general of the Ukrainian Football Association. The suspension period is the same as that of his boss - until May 13, 2023.
As a reminder, Pavelko and Zapisotskyi are involved in a criminal case regarding embezzlement of funds at the construction of a factory for artificial football fields. Back in November, the UAF president and general secretary were granted a pre-trial restraint in this case: arrest or bail. Almost immediately, UAF Marketing paid bail for both of them in the amount of almost UAH 20 million.
As in the case of Andriy Pavelko, on February 17, the court granted a motion to remove Zapisotskyi from the position of UAF Secretary General. At that time, the ruling did not enter into force because the defense filed an appeal. However, on March 14, the Pechersk District Court ruled to suspend Zapisotskyi until May 13. This ruling is subject to immediate execution.
