Members of the European Parliament demand that UEFA does not allow Belarus to participate in the qualification of Euro 2024. This is reported by the portal Politico.
It is known that more than 100 deputies signed a letter to UEFA President Alexander Cheferin, expressing their dissatisfaction with the fact that Belarus supports Russia in the war against Ukraine.
"The very fact of the participation of the Belarus national team in the tournament under the auspices of UEFA will later be used by Alexander Lukashenko and his propaganda team to prove that he is well received in the international community. This would be an insult to the people of Ukraine and all Belarusians who were forced to flee their homeland, as well as those who remained in Belarus and now have to live in fear," the letter says.
