The participation of the "Russian team" in the so-called "Central Asian Championship" does not contradict the decision of the Executive Committee of the Union of European Football Associations to suspend all teams of a terrorist state from participating in tournaments under the auspices of the organization, the UEFA press service told local propagandists.
"Friendly matches are not part of UEFA competitions and as such are outside the competence and responsibility of UEFA. For this reason, the participation of Russian teams in friendly tournaments does not contradict the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee to suspend Russian teams from participation in competitions under the aegis of the organization", - UEFA believes.
Recall that in the unofficial tournament, scheduled for June this year, will play Tajikistan, Iran, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, and possibly Thailand or China. The draw is scheduled for May. The venue is Bishkek and Tashkent.
