Three Italian clubs will play in the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time in 17 years

As previously reported, yesterday all the participants in the quarterfinals of the Champions League this season were determined.

The biggest representation in the quarterfinals was Italy, from which three clubs managed to reach this stage of the tournament: AC Milan, Inter and Napoli.

The last time this happened 17 years ago, in the 2005/06 UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, it was AC Milan, Juventus and Inter. Since then, Italy has been represented by a maximum of two teams in the quarterfinals of the main European competition.
