Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema commented on the injury he sustained in the Champions League last-16 match against Liverpool (1-0).
Karim Benzema, Getty Images"I left the pitch because I felt discomfort after being hit in the shin. It's nothing serious, just a bruise. I'll be ready to play against Barcelona on Sunday," the Frenchman was quoted as saying by the Gunners' press service.
It will be recalled that Benzema was replaced in the 82nd minute of the match, immediately after scoring a goal against Liverpool.
