The famous portal FourFourTwo has published its version of the best left wing defenders in the world at the moment. The corresponding ranking was headed by the Ukrainian defender of London's Arsenal Oleksandr Zinchenko.
"Attacking from deep in the field and shifting from the flank to the center, Zinchenko sets the tone of Arsenal's game with his excellent passes. At the same time, the Ukrainian performs his defensive duties reliably.
Zinchenko's statistics for the season (a goal and two assists) may give the impression that he is not an iconic performer for Arsenal, but this impression is deceptive. The Ukrainian regularly uses effective assists to tear up the opponent's defense, bringing Martin Edegor, Gabriel Martinelli and Bucayo Saca into the final stages of the attack.
It is safe to say that without Zinchenko, Arsenal would not be able to achieve those successes in the game and the results that the team has now," - so the publication explained its choice in favor of Zinchenko.
