Dynamo Kyiv and Ukraine defender Oleksandr Karavayev shared his emotions about joining the national team.
"I thought it would be harder, after all, a new championship, coach, language. As I understand it, the English is not very good there. I also thought there would be a language barrier. But, as we can see, he is doing very well on the football field and I hope he continues to do so. Well done to him. When the morale is high, it decides a lot on the football field."
"This is life, we all realize that time goes by and those who were football players want to become coaches. It was the same with Andriy Mykolayovych (Shevchenko) and Rebrov. Now it will take 5-7 years, and Serhiy (Sydorchuk, who was sitting next to him) will be the main man in the national team."
On the de-occupation of Kherson
"My parents stay in Kherson, there is constant shelling there. My school was hit a week ago, I saw a photo on the Internet that was right there. I saw my classroom, a shell hit the front of the school, and my house is literally 50 meters away from my school, no more. So, of course, I'm worried. They do not want to leave, they help those who cannot help themselves. They are already used to this situation. They want to be at home.
We thank our soldiers for allowing us to hold this training camp," Karavayev was quoted as saying by the official telegram channel of the Ukrainian national team.
