Antoine Griezmann is considering retirement from the French national team after the captaincy was handed over to Kylian Mbappe.
According to L'Equipe, the PSG forward is going to inherit the captain's armband after goalkeeper Hugo Lloris retires. Head coach Didier Deschamps carefully considered the many options available to him before settling on the 24-year-old forward.
Another French publication, Le Figaro, notes that this decision irritated Griezmann and now Antoine is considering withdrawing from the competition for future challenges. The 32-year-old Atletico Madrid forward has made 117 appearances for his country since making his debut for the main team in 2014.
