Shakhtar Donetsk defender Mykola Matvienko has signed a new contract with the club. The contract runs until December 31, 2027.

Therefore, we will respect every offer that comes with the player and we will consider either the transfer of the player or the signing of a new contract.
Perhaps in the future a better offer will arrive and he will appear in one of the top European leagues, and today Mykola Matvienko gives Shakhtar a lot, behaving very professionally. He is an example for young players: he has never had a single suspension in all his years with the club. And this contract is a reward for him as a player, as a person, as a professional - said the sports director of Shakhtar Dario Srna regarding the re-signing.
