e England striker Peter Crouch spoke about what he expects from the Euro 2024 qualifying match between England and Ukraine, which will take place tomorrow in London.
"I really enjoyed England's performance against Italy (2-1) - I haven't always been able to say that for years. It used to be hard to watch England sometimes, but we have really good, young, exciting players and we really dominated Italy in the first half.
England won't be able to take their eyes off the ball because of the result when they play Ukraine at Wembley. It's an important game. And for this reason I do not think there will be major changes in the lineup.
The Ukraine team also has very good players, some of them play in the APL, but many have international experience. I have played several times against the Ukrainian team, and they have always been a very good team. But England must win at home.
Bukayo Saka is in incredible form right now. He should create problems for the Ukrainian defense. We could have been sharper against Italy in the first half, but I thought there are so many pluses, especially against such a team which has always been tough for us.
But then again, the Ukraine national team has some good players too. I've always been a fan of Yarmolenko, but now it's Mudrik who worries me the most about the Ukrainian team. He hasn't had the easiest of starts at Chelsea, but sometimes a change of scenery in the national team can help. I've been in this situation more than once myself. Besides, Mudrick will be eager to show the fans in England what he can do. So Mudrick is a clear threat to the England team," Crouch said.
