UEFA reacted to the call by MEPs to suspend teams from Belarus in the same manner as the Russians.
"UEFA is closely following the alarming events and has long intended to discuss the situation in Belarus at the upcoming meeting of our Executive Committee. The decisions to be taken in this regard are the sole responsibility of the UEFA Executive Committee," UEFA President Alexander Ceferin wrote in a letter to MEPs.
The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee is scheduled for April 4 in Lisbon. In the meantime, the Belarusians played their opening game of the Euro 2024 selection against Switzerland today...
