Eduard Sobol- Ukraine's national team played its first match in the Euro 2024 qualifying round against a very strong opponent, England. What was successful and what was not in this game for you?
- It's a pity we lost today. The coach's attitude was that we shouldn't be afraid to play football, which is what we practiced in training. I think we managed to get out of the defense quite well at times. But we conceded two goals and tried to get back into it... There are still many matches to come, so we will continue to push for results.
- How useful was this match in terms of preparing for the next games?
- Yes, it was a useful game. I am sure we will look at it and analyze all our mistakes. We will improve our game and move on.
- If you compare the current England team with the one you faced at Euro 2020, is there any difference?
- England is still a very good team. Today we played better than at Euro 2020. There were many good moments. We have work to do, we need to improve.
- There were a lot of Ukrainian fans in the stands today. What would you like to say to them?
- We felt their support and we are very grateful to them. I am sure that we will delight them with our victories in the future.
