"Chelsea offered Kante a new contract on a 2+1 basis

"Chelsea is getting closer to extending its cooperation with midfielder N'Golo Kante, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports on Twitter.

The parties are in the final stages of negotiations. The Frenchman's new contract can be for two years with the possibility of extending it for another 12 months.

It will be recalled that the 31-year-old footballer was seriously injured in August 2022. During the current pause in national team matches, the Frenchman played for Chelsea in a friendly match for the first time since the injury.
