Manchester United hosted Brentford at Old Trafford in a Premier League match in which United dominated possession but could not get on the ball. The first half ended 1-0 after a Marcus Rashford goal in the 27th minute. The game started relatively slowly, with both teams having few real chances in the first 20 minutes. However, in the 24th minute, United's Luke Shaw received a yellow card for a tactical foul. Just three minutes later, Rashford received a pass from Fred, beat two Brentford defenders and shot past goalkeeper David Raya, giving United the lead. Overall, it was a good performance by United, who controlled most of the game and limited Brentford's chances. Although they would have liked to have scored more goals, three points is all that matters in the end. Brentford will be disappointed with the result, as they were unable to create enough chances to get back into the game.
