Coxarthrosis is a chronic degenerative disease of the hip joint, which is manifested by significant pain in the hip area due to the destruction of the cartilage tissue of the joint.
The disease destroys the cartilage surface of the joint bones, narrows the joint gap, and destroys the bone surface, causing the patient to experience severe pain with every step.
There are many causes of this disease, from a history of sports and a genetic predisposition to overweight and diabetes, but this list definitely does not include "frequent bus rides of 10 hours," as the Romanian coach noted, emphasizing that these trips caused his coxarthrosis.
In the initial stages, patients are prescribed physical therapy and medications, and later the patient switches to stronger drugs, but in the end the only effective way to treat this disease is endoprosthetics - the installation of a new artificial joint by surgery," Babeliuk wrote in Telegram.
