According to journalist Igor Burbas, in the course of the current season, the UPL offered the club three options for hosting the 2022/23 Ukrainian Cup, which, as you know, did not start at the usual time due to the war.
“In the UPL, according to the results of the official survey, only three clubs were in favor. All others abstained or voted against holding the National Cup.
Although three format options were proposed for consideration:
— a full-fledged tournament;
— completion of the unfinished Cup of Ukraine in the 21/22 season by the same participants (as they did in women's football);
- draw in express format between the first 4 teams of the final standings of the championship of Ukraine," the source assures.
