This weekend, the matches of the next, 21st round of the Ukrainian Championship among clubs of the Premier League of the season 2022/23 are being held. The hosts of the upcoming match are included in the group of outsiders of the championship, taking 14th place in the standings and having 18 points in the asset after 19 matches played. Dynamo are in the leading group of the championship: Mircea Lucescu's team is now fourth, one point behind the third-placed Zorya.
In the first round, the match between Dynamo and Rukh ended in a crushing victory for the Kiev team with a score of 3:0. Vitaliy Buyalsky scored a double in that meeting, and Oleksandr Tymchik scored one more goal.

Anastasia Romanyuk from Ivano-Frankivsk has been appointed the chief referee for the Rukh-Dynamo match. V. Nizhnyk (Vinnitsa) and M. Chertolyas (Kherson) will help her on the lines. The video assistance system for VAR referees will not be used in the upcoming game.
