Head coach of Veres Rovno Yuriy Virt summed up the results of yesterday's match of his team with Metalist Kharkiv (5:5) in the 21st round of Ukrainian championship.
Yuri Virt"5-5 is, of course, great for the audience. A lot of goals scored. But I think we`ve lost two points today.
We started the game very poorly. "Metalist scored twice after purely individual errors from our side. We had to think how to get back into the game. The team managed to show character and level the score. Then a goal shootout followed, allowing Kharkiv to keep the lead until halftime.
At halftime I told the team that we need to improve, to use the flanks more actively. Because the opponents were closing the center of the field. We`ve gained speed and took the lead. The game was given and we had to score more. There were good moments in which Metalist`s goalkeeper played beautifully. In the end all this led to a missed goal and a loss of two points. In general we deserved more than a draw in the second half", - said Wirth.
