Shakhtar Donetsk are among the key debtors of Corinthians, information on which is contained in the financial report of the Brazilian club for the past year.
As of December 31, 2022, the Pitmen owe Corinthians 3.62 million Brazilian reals, which is equivalent to 660,000 euros.
This sum the Donetsk club must pay to the Brazilian club for the transfer of Pedrinho, which took place in the summer of 2021. Although the midfielder moved to Ukraine from Portuguese Benfica at the time, we are obviously talking about the solidarity payment, which is due to Corinthians for bringing up the player according to the FIFA mechanism.
Interestingly, on December 31, 2021, Shakhtar's debt to Corinthians for Pedrinho was slightly bigger than it is now - 3.853 million Brazilian reals (710,000 euros).
By the way, Benfica still owes Corinthians 31.614 million Brazilian reals, or 5.8 million euros for Pedrinho.
