In a tense Premier League match, Liverpool hosted their rivals Nottingham Forest at Anfield. Despite the fact that in the first half both teams had an equal number of chances, the scoreline remained inconclusive at halftime. Nottingham Forest made the first substitution of the match in the 30th minute when S. McKenna was replaced by D. Worrall. Only in the second half did the game really come alive, and in the 47th minute Diogo Jota of Liverpool broke the deadlock, scoring a great goal and giving his team the lead. However, Nottingham Forest was not going to give up without a fight, and just four minutes later they evened the score thanks to a goal by N. Williams. But on 55 minutes, Diogo Jota from Liverpool struck again, scoring his second goal and once again restoring Liverpool's advantage.
In the 60th minute, the game saw a flurry of substitutions and Liverpool made two changes - C. Gakpo replaced D. Nunez and Fabinho replaced Thiago. Nottingham Forest came close to tying the game in the 67th minute when M. Gibbs-White scored a fantastic goal to make the score 2-2. But Liverpool weren't done yet, and just 3 minutes later M. Salah scored the decisive third goal for the hosts, putting Liverpool ahead again. Near the end of the game, both teams made a number of substitutions: Liverpool let L. Diaz and K. Jones onto the field, while Nottingham Forest let Felipe, T. Avonius and R. Lodi on. Overall, it was a fantastic game of soccer, and Liverpool almost managed to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2. Although Nottingham Forest put up excellent resistance, in the end it was the quality of Liverpool's play that was the deciding factor in this exciting Premier League encounter.
