Denil Castillo, a midfielder for the Ecuadorian national youth team, has signed a five-year contract with Shakhtar.
Danil Castillo (left; photo: shakhtar.com)The 19-year-old holding midfielder comes to Donetsk from Ecuadorian LSU Quito. The contract with the player will be valid from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2028.
Danil Castillo is a pupil of Ecuadorian LSU Quito. Since the age of 16 he played for the club's youth and reserve teams. In the 2022 season played 15 matches for LSU Quito (U-20) in the championship and Libertadores Cup (U-20).
He plays for the Ecuadorian Youth National Team (U-20), in which he made his debut on June 8, 2022 and has played 17 games to date. He was a key player in the 2023 South American Championship (U-20).
According to Transfermarkt, the value of the player is half a million euros.
