Italian striker Mario Balotelli agrees with his former agent Mina Raiola that he is to blame for so many Ballon d'Ors for Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Raiola always told me one thing: 'If Messi and Ronaldo have so many Ballon d'Ors, it's your fault'. He was right - too often I played at 20 percent of my potential.
When I put on the Azzurri shirt, I am overwhelmed with emotion. I always got along well with Mancini, it's not true that we had conflicts at Manchester City. I still feel I deserve a call-up to the national team," the 32-year-old said on the Muschio Selvaggio podcast.
Throughout his career, Mario Balotelli has been considered one of those players who can change the course of a match on his own, but his attitude toward football has led to doubts about his qualities. It was these shortcomings that prevented him from truly realizing his potential and being among the best players on the planet.
