The former head coach of Kyiv "Dynamo" and the Ukrainian national team Leonid Buriak told what he thinks about the prospects of the Ukrainian midfielder of this team Mykhailo Mudryk in London "Chelsea".
- Lampard gave Mudrick his first full match in the APL. How do you think Mikhail's role has changed under the new coach?
- Mudrik is a very talented soccer player who needs time. The hysteria around his person prevents him from concentrating on soccer. He needs to distract himself. You know, when you have a lot of desire, but nothing works, you need to calm down, work on training and play consistently, and the rest will come with experience.
- How can Mudrick help Lampard in Chelsea?
- Let's hope so, because at Chelsea the atmosphere is not normal. There are too many good players there. It all takes time, which we don't have.
- Will the blurred finish affect Mudrik's prospects at Stamford Bridge?
- We don't know about Chelsea's plans for Mudrick. It's certainly not a question for me.
- Would a hypothetical loan to Brighton put an end to his Chelsea prospects?
- If Mudrik won't have a permanent place at Chelsea, he needs to play. He's not a veteran who can't play more than 20 minutes. The club will have the final say in the matter. You can not come from the UPL to the APL and immediately start playing at that level.
- In Chelsea Mudrik was involved in the position of a centre-forward. What differences caught your eye in Mudrik's game under the two coaches?
- Mudrik is definitely not a center-forward, and the coaching staff can answer at what position Misha feels comfortable. There are a lot of issues that need to be solved within the club. I can only regret that Mudrik got to a club that is in crisis. I want him to be able to prove himself there because he is our player.
- Chelsea in the Abramovich era did not disdain to often remove coaches, but the Americans seem to have surpassed their predecessors in the first year at the club ...
- It's not a matter of chance. All club owners want to be at the top and see the end result, to play in the Champions League, to have a decent place in the APL, not flounder at the bottom, but in England the competition is very high. As the saying goes: Mercedes is Mercedes, and the rest of the cars follow him. Lampard has done a lot for Chelsea, but time and circumstances are working against him.
