Martin Odegaard came on in place of Emile Smith-Rowe but Arsenal were unable to make an impact on the game. Manchester City made two substitutions, with Riyad Mahrez replacing Ilkay Gundogan and then Jesus Alvarez coming on in place of De Bruyne. Bernardo Silva came on in place of Bucayo Saca and Reiss Nelson made room before Gabriel Jesus came on in place of Eddie Nketia. In the 86th minute Rob Holding equalised Arsenal's goal but it was only consolation as Phil Foden replaced Jack Grealish and Rhodri received a yellow card. Erling Haaland then scored in added time, completing Manchester City's impressive performance. The final score was 4-1 in favour of the hosts, who continued their dominance in the Premier League. This victory brought them even closer to the top of the table, while Arsenal remained languishing in the middle of the table. This match was an indication of the difference in class between the two sides and a clear sign of Manchester City's tremendous skill.
