Lucescu's operation is postponed. The reason is known

As previously reported, Mircea Lucescu, the head coach of FC Dynamo Kyiv, went on sick leave due to the need for surgical intervention because of the aggravated arthritis of the hip joint.

However, according to Romanian media reports, the 77-year-old Bilo-Syni mentor will undergo surgery a little later than initially planned (Lucescu was expected to undergo surgery early this week).

The thing is that following a general check-up which preceded the surgery, the doctors decided to replace Lucescu's coronary stent (a cage that is placed into the problematic areas of the arteries to dilate them and ensure normal blood flow). This procedure was successful but Lucescu's body now needs to give pause before carrying out the operation.

The new date of the operation for the Dynamo mentor is also reported to be 1 May.
