As part of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian Youth Championship, Dynamo U-19 from Kyiv visited Uzhhorod to play Metalist Kharkiv.

Despite the fact that the teams are at different poles of the standings, the first half was even. As favourites, Dynamo had more initiative, controlled the ball, but it rarely came to dangerous moments. The only noteworthy moments were Zorenko's blocked shot from the centre of the penalty area and another shot by our striker, after which the ball flew over the top of the goal.
Instead, it was more dangerous near our goal. In particular, in one episode, Synchuk intercepted the ball in the other half of the field, reached Dynamo's penalty area and made a shot, but none of his teammates had time to respond. Kharkiv also troubled Ihnatenko with long shots, but our goalkeeper acted reliably in the box.
The exchange of chances continued after the break. After Synchuk's header from a corner kick, Ihnatenko saved our team, and at the opposite goal, the Metalist goalkeeper parried Kremchanin's shot with his foot. In another episode, the teammates went one-on-one with the goalkeeper Benedyuk, but the Dynamo captain failed to beat him in close combat.
As time went on in the second half, the pressure of the White and Blues increased, and it paid off in the 75th minute. Salenko entered the penalty area, shot to the far post, from where Zorenko sent the ball into the net - 0: 1.
After that, the initiative was taken by Metalist players who wanted to get back at it. But in one episode Ihnatenko parried a shot from close range, and in another he saved the team after Karpizin's shot from a corner.
As a result, the White and Blues won 1-0, and the fight for the championship continues.
