Today, 28 April, kicked off the programme of the 23rd round of the Ukrainian championship. In one of the matches, Metalist Kharkiv and Dynamo Kyiv met.

The fight, predictably, started with Dynamo`s attacks - the Kyivians began to dictate the game terms to their opponent. However, Metalist was quite happy with such a development, as the team openly acted as the second choice and relied on counterattacks and standard positions.
At first the nominal hosts managed to disrupt Oleksandr Shovkovskiy`s team`s attacks with small fouls, but closer to half-time moments at the gates of Metalist began to arise one by one. First, Kharkiv goalkeeper Yermolov saved Benito`s shot from a sharp angle. Next came out one on one with the goalkeeper, Buyalskyy, who shot from a few meters past, and after another minute Andrievskyy hit the bar!
In turn, Peric Ognjenovic's team also created two dangerous chances in the first half. First, Ruslan stopped Demchenko's shot under the crossbar, and after a few minutes Pryadun's shot was blocked by Vanat.
Towards the end of the first half, the Kyiv side picked up their pace again, forcing the opponents to foul. Moreover, there were warnings to Metalist players. Nevertheless, Kharkiv team managed to stand and not concede in the first 45 minutes.
The second half also began with Dynamo attacks, and almost immediately Metalist was left short-handed. "The Bilo-Syni, after a good combination, led Kabaev one-on-one, whom Romanyuk mowed down near the penalty area. The penalty was a straight red card. Of course, after that suspension, Dynamo's lead was total: Kharkiv team 'closed down' in their half and almost did not think about attacks. The Kyiv side lacked the final pass or the finishing touch. Long range shots by Andriyevskyi, Benito, Vivcharenko were to no avail.
And Oleksandr Sirota on 70 minutes, yet managed to unlock Metalist`s goal. The defender joined the next attack of his team and dared to hit from 20 meters - the ball flew into the top corner of the goal - 0:1! Having opened the scoring, Dynamo continued to press the opponents, wishing to increase their lead. And they managed to do it on 75 minutes: Kabaev shot from the left flank into the goalmouth net, where uncovered Vanat headed the ball into the net - 0:2.
It seemed that the Kyiv side would calmly bring the match to victory, but they created their own problems: on 83 minutes Popov, in a simple situation, slipped near the penalty area and gave the ball to Kartushov, who passed the ball to Pryadun. The forward had no trouble shooting the ball accurately - 1:2. Then, there was more. On 85 minutes, Nesheret saved the team from conceding yet another goal, save a free-kick.
However, it was still Dynamo players who drew the final scoreline: Vivcharenko joined the attack and shot on target past Ermolov - 1:3! As a result, the club from Moscow got a tough win.
