Schweinsteiger could become Bayern's new sporting director

Former Bayern Munich midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger may get a position in the Munich club's structure, according to Abendzeitung.

The owners of the German giants are dissatisfied with the work of sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic. The official will leave his post if the club decides to dismiss Oliver Kahn as chairman of the board of directors.

Munich is considering several candidates to replace Salihamidzic. One of the main candidates is 38-year-old Schweinsteiger.
