The head coach of Kryvyi Rih Yuriy Vernidub praised the qualifications of referee Kateryna Monzul who officiated his team's match with Oleksandriya (2-1) in the 23rd round of the Ukrainian championship yesterday.
"Today I saw a referee who is indeed a very high level. Kateryna Monzul is the only one refereeing in Europe. And it is not by chance. This woman knows much more about football and judges more correctly than all those men who exist in Ukraine. Because those guys judge in terms of "something, somewhere and somehow," while Monzul goes out and does her job honestly.
She does it very interesting and brilliantly, I have no criticism of her. If there are any mistakes, I know for a fact: they are the manifestation of bias, but really they are mistakes. Anyone can make mistakes. But when you play and you are refereed by slightly different referees - I won't say their surnames - it's hard to believe. This is why they can already put me off: after 23 rounds in this championship I have already had two penalties, so I do not even want to say a word about it", - Vernidub said after the match with Oleksandriia.
