UAF President Andriy Pavelko spoke about the joint bid with Spain and Portugal to host the 2030 World Cup.
- We have a very powerful opportunity to take on this challenge, to fight and win the selection of who will host the 2030 World Cup. Spain and Portugal are making moves. Their governments have been working with the associations for 7 months. We are waiting for the next step. There is a very warm atmosphere between our governments and associations. I am sure that in the near future we will hold such working meetings in Ukraine.
Because it is not a dream of some minister, official Pavelko, football functionary or club president. This is a dream of many generations. I am sure that Ukraine is now an example to the world by its inflexibility," Pavelko said.
