"Mykola Shaparenko has returned to training in the general group of Dynamo Kyiv! As you know, Mykola was injured on 8 September last year. It is already the beginning of May, so the player's recovery took about 8 months. The Dynamo player underwent rehabilitation at the well-known Belgian clinic in the centre of Antwerp - Move to Cure under the guidance of a well-known local specialist Leven Maschalk.

Mykola's recovery time confirms the current trend of increasing recovery time after cruciate ligament reconstruction. Nowadays, more and more top clubs, when announcing the diagnosis of their player, indicate an approximate return period of 7-9 months. For example, Tottenham's Bentancourt was announced to be injured.

Today, during recovery, the emphasis is not only on restoring the injured leg, but also on preparing the body as a whole. Conditioning training, sport-specific movements, muscle balance, attention and cognitive functions. This is exactly the kind of training Mykola underwent, which should help reduce the potential risk of injury and avoid a relapse," Babeliuk wrote on Telegram.
