Motivation and speed are still there. At this age, you can play at a high level for 3-4 years. Medicine is not standing still. During his time at Dynamo, Karavaev is currently experiencing the longest downtime due to health problems. Previously, there was only the coronavirus and a knee injury that took 7 days.
Large advances were given to Oleksandr Tymchyk. So far, he has not been able to fully realise them, although he is already 26 years old. In Poltava, Oleksandr Sklyar miraculously did not score from under the Dynamo right-back. Moreover, Oleksandr's health problems occur quite often. It is a very, very risky thing to rely on Tymchyk for the whole season.
They did not see the potential in Mykyta Kravchenko. He was kept for the entire first part of the season, and in the winter he was sent to Kovalivka.
The situation with Tomasz Kędziora does not seem to be resolved. The Pole has another year of his contract with Dynamo. He went to PAOK because of an injury to the right-back of the team from Thessaloniki. Tomek had a very weak first half of this season. His personal conditions are quite good (the press quotes a figure of 800 thousand euros per year). If he does not find a new team, the Pole may stay in the capital of Ukraine for another year.
Oleh Husiev's son Oleksiy plays this position in the youth team. This is his first season at this level. The boy has talent, but he is not yet ready for adult football. He needs some more time.
The picture is that Karavayev will clearly be useful to Dynamo for some time to come. Let's not forget about his versatility - the ability to play as a right midfielder, left back, or to strengthen the game after coming on as a substitute. According to the media, Oleksandr's earnings in the capital of Ukraine reach 20 thousand per month, not including bonuses. It is unlikely that such an experienced player can be invited to Ukraine for that kind of money.
If Dynamo does not offer the player a new deal, it is unlikely that Karavayev will be in great demand in Europe. He is no longer young and has a negative experience of playing for Fenerbahce. Secondary Turkish clubs, Cyprus, Poland, Hungary. It is unlikely that this will look better than Dynamo. There are more likely to be internal candidates - a return to Zorya, Dnipro-1, Shakhtar. Luhansk need to strengthen, as they are more likely to play in the Europa League qualifiers next season. For Dnipro-1, Champions League qualification looks realistic. "Shakhtar could use an experienced winger given their problems on the flanks. Therefore, I would not want to strengthen the competition.
