Renowned former coach Myron Markevych has expressed his opinion about the play of Ukrainian players in the top championships, in particular, Viktor Tsygankov at Girona.
- What about Mudryk, who still hasn't scored for Chelsea?
- It's not like the team is playing there! Mudrik got there at a difficult time - Chelsea look very weak. In addition, there is a coaching bureaucracy in the London team. But I think if Mudrik sets his standards seriously, he will be fine.
- In England many experts praise Zinchenko, while Viktor Leonenko criticises him, saying he is not a defender.
- Zinchenko plays very well, at least I like him. I agree that he is not a defender, but more of a midfield player. But Zinchenko hardly ever loses the ball and it is very important for a footballer. Arteta has found the right use for Zinchenko.
- Mikolenko and Zabarny are at risk of relegation from the AFL. Do you think they made a mistake by signing for Everton and Bournemouth?
- I don't think they made a mistake. Any team in the APL is of a very high calibre. I hope that Mikolenko and Zabarny will improve. I do not want their teams to be relegated.
- Lunin has won his sixth trophy at Real Madrid, but he has hardly played for the club. What would you advise him in this situation?
- Lunin is a good goalkeeper, but at Real Madrid we have the best goalkeeper in the world - Courtois. There is no getting away from it. Andrei has a good level, but there should be one goalkeeper in goal. Of course, Lunin wants to play, but he must decide for himself whether to stay at Real Madrid or look for a new club.
- Tsygankov seems to have found his team. How do you like his game in Spain?
- Viktor plays very well, he opened up. I think, Tsygankov will not stay in Girona for long. "Manchester City? We'll see. Today it might be a bit early, but tomorrow it`s high time.
