Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti praised the performance of centre-back Antonio Rudiger in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 against Manchester City (1-1).
"It was quite an interesting game. It was difficult to play in the first half, but the second half was much better. We had to maintain our position in defence and then we scored a goal at the first opportunity. Vinicius had a great shot.
We played a great match in defence. Antonio Rüdiger was able to keep Erling Holland in check. In addition, he successfully insured the midfielders," Ancelotti was quoted as saying by BT Sport.
