A former Rennes player died near Bakhmut. He worked as a video journalist

French correspondent Armand Soldin was killed near Bakhmut on 9 May. This was reported by the AFP News Agency.

Rennes reacted to the news of Soldin's death. On its official Twitter page, the club expressed its condolences for the death of the video journalist and added that Soldin played for the U-13 and U-15 teams from 2006-2008.

Soldin was killed in a Russian missile strike near Chasovoy Yar, Donetsk Region (about 17km from Bakhmut).
