The Champions League final for the 2022/2023 season will take place on 10 June in Istanbul or, in the event of force majeure, nowhere else. That is the conclusion to be drawn from a spokesman's response to a query from Sky News journalist Rob Harris.
"The 2023 UEFA Champions League final will take place in Istanbul on 10 June 2023 as planned. UEFA has no discussions to the contrary with any political institutions, governments or national football associations," UEFA said in response to a question about whether the final was planned to be moved from Istanbul should the situation in Turkey deteriorate after the elections.
