It's official. "Polesie has qualified for the Premier League!

For the first time in the 64-year history of the club Zhytomyr Poles'kyi secured participation in the Ukrainian Premier League next season.

Today in match of the 6th round of the first league "Promotion Group" Yuriy Kalytvyntsev`s team defeated Kremen (5:0), returned to first place and became unattainable for the third team of the tournament, which gives "Poles'e" direct entrance to the elite division of the Ukrainian Championship.

It must be recalled, the Zhytomyr club was founded in 1959 under the name Avangard. During its history, it has changed about a dozen names, but never played in the top divisions of the USSR or Ukraine. Only once, in 2002, Zhytomyr took part in transition matches for the right to play in the elite, but lost to Alexandria's Poligraftehnika.
