Journalist Volodymyr Zverov said that next season the Ukrainian Premier League may have 20 teams instead of 18.
"In the 2023/2024 season, the UPL may expand to 20 clubs - this has already been confirmed by several sources. The initiator of the possible expansion is Lviv, whose managers are currently exploring the option in conversations with UPL clubs. Moreover, there are influential clubs that are NOT against this option. We will have a traditionally fun off-season in the office. Save the trees - do not print regulations. Everyone gives a *** about them. Everyone will play in the UPL," Zverov wrote on his telegram channel.
