Journalist Ben Jacobs has reported on his Twitter page that Qatari sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has made a new offer to buy Manchester United.

Al Thani's new offer is reportedly worth more than $7 billion, of which $1 billion is a planned investment in the club.

The new offer is significantly bigger than the original.
