Former Russian footballer, video blogger and owner of the Cypriot club Krasava, Yevgeny Savin, spoke about communicating with former Ukrainian Anatoliy Tymoschuk after Russia started its war against Ukraine.

I got in touch with Anatoliy Tymoschuk, who is now at Zenit. He is a legend of Ukrainian football. Three or four times I asked him to talk but he chose silence.
This silence is about fear and money. In Russia they can cancel your contract in a minute. All it takes is an "inappropriate" comment on an Instagram post and you're in jail. Freedom of speech is spelled out in the constitution, but in reality you can get 15 years in prison if you say something 'inappropriate'," Savin told Sportowe Fakty.
