A joint meeting of the Ukrainian Premier League and the Professional Football League of Ukraine took place
The joint meeting of the UPL and PFL considered the issue of determining the dates of the play-off matches for the right to participate in the UPL championship in the 2023/23 season.
It will be recalled that in accordance with paragraph 10 of Article 5 of the UPL Competition Rules of the 2022/23 season and paragraph 3 of Article 9 of the PFL Competition Rules of the 2022/23 season: "A participant whose main team took 13th place in the UPL in the final standings must play two playoff matches for the right to participate in the UPL next season with a team that took 4th place in the final standings of the PFL First League Championship season. The participant whose main team took 14th place in the final standings in the UPL must play two play-off matches for the right to participate in the UPL next season with the team that took 3rd place in the final standings of the PFL First League Championship season. The host of the field is determined by a draw conducted by the Directorate."
In this regard, taking into account the UPL competition match calendar, the UAF international match calendar and the calendar of matches of the national teams of Ukraine, the UPL and PFL have set the following dates for the play-off matches for the right to participate in the Ukrainian championship in the 2023/24 season - 10 and 14 June 2023.
In addition, in the event of a call-up to the national and/or youth national teams of Ukraine of players from teams participating in the playoffs, the UPL and PFL have set the following dates for the playoffs for the right to participate in the UPL championship in the 2023/24 season - 8 and 12 June 2023.
